2nd Round results:

Matches decided by fans votes:

Abbey Hey 1-3 Washington FC Sunday Team (2 votes to nil)
2 votes in total were received for this match, both for Washington FC Sunday Team. The Tyne and Wear club's goals were scored by Reece Smith, and a brace for the electric Graham Stephenson.

Arsenal 0-2 Silsden (1 vote to nil)

Ascot United 4-1 Romford (1 vote to nil)

Calcot FC 3-0 Altrincham (4 votes to 1)
There were 5 votes received for this match, with Altrincham getting 1 vote for them, but ultimately it was Calcot who would advance again. Their top scorer Chad Birmingham would be the main man again, with another 2 goals to his name. This was added to by Liam Nichols, as Amateur League Calcot cruised past Premier League opposition!

Chelsea 5-0 Ashford United 3rds (1 vote to nil)

Coley Park 3-2 Blyth Town (4 votes to 0)
Another match with a lot of votes, as all 4 votes were on the side of Coley Park. The scoreline was close, but Blyth were hampered when they received a red card. There was a definite hero in this match, as Jamie Fairchild wrote his name into Coley Park's history books with a magnificent hat-trick, single-handedly taking his side through to the 3rd Round!

Ebbsfleet United 0-1 Reading (1 vote to nil)

Loxwood 1-3 Thames Valley Railway FC (4 votes to 1)

Shoreham Sabres 5-4 Atherton Laburnum Rovers (1 vote to nil)
This was one of the most exciting matches in the early history of The Community Cup, as Shoreham Sabres had to come back three times from being behind, before eventually overcoming a determined and spirited Rovers. Nathan Strong would give Rovers a very early lead, opening the scoring in the 1st minute of the game. Their lead would last just 2 minutes, however, as Ben Stevens would equalise for the home side. Strong popped up again with his and Atherton's second, putting them back in front. However, his opposite number Ben Stevens would also grab his second of the match on 41 minutes, to level the scores 2-2 at half-time. Rovers would lead for the third time in the match, with Strong completing a brilliant hat-trick on 64. The home side refused to give up, and would equalise again, this time with Sam Nuttall getting his name on the scoresheet on 70 minutes.

With 20 minutes still to go, the game was finely poised at 3-3, with both sides free-flowing in attack. On 77 minutes, Shoreham would take the lead for the first time, as Ollie Jerams struck. The home fans were sensing victory was imminent but this dogged Rovers side would make it 4-4 deep into the 90, with an 88th minute equaliser from Jordan Pendlebury. Extra time, and possibly penalties, was looming but, in the third minute of injury time, Tom Hines sent the home fans into raptures with a stunning winner! Laburnum can count themselves unlucky to lose this thriller, but they will be back in 2021 to try again. For the Sabres though, their possible journey towards Wembley continues!

Thornaby 1-3 Caversham United (4 votes to 1)
Another match which saw votes received for both sides, but Caversham were the deserved winners, 4 votes to 1. Their goals were scored by Joe Hales (who seems to have marked himself out as The Goats' danger man), Jack Tapscott and Sam Foster. Caversham could be a potential banana-skin for any of the Professional League clubs remaining in this competition.

Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne 4-4 Erith Town (Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne win 5-4 on penalties) (1 vote to nil)
Yet another multiple goal thriller, with this one going all the way to penalties. However, how it even made it that far will be a mystery to Erith, having lead 3-0 on 80 minutes. A stunning comeback from the home side was complete, when they narrowly edged out the visitors with a final well-taken penalty. Who will be next for Tuesday Night FC?

Woodley United 4-2 Grays Athletic (1 vote to nil)

3rd Round results:

Matches decided by fans votes (24):

Bolehall Swifts 3-1 Canterbury City (1 vote to nil)
This game was all about one man, as Tom Reece became the latest hat-trick hero in The Community Cup. Bolehall Swifts soar through to the 4th Round, and will certainly take some stopping.

Boston United 1-3 Spelthorne Sports (3 votes to nil)
Another 3-1 win, and another man scoring a hat-trick, as Lewis Flatman wrote his name into the history books for Spelthorne Sports. Can they go all the way?

Bulawayo Chiefs (Zimbabwe) 2-0 Warrington Town (1 vote to nil)
The Zimbabwean giants make it through to the 4th Round, thanks to goals from Farawu Matare and Arthur Diego. With the vast majority of clubs from England, can the Chiefs defy the odds and take the cup back to Africa?

Caversham United 3-2 Chicken Inn (Zimbabwe) (4 votes to 2)
Whereas one Zimbabwean club advance, the other falls at the 3rd Round hurdle, as Chicken Inn were narrowly beaten by Caversham United. The Goats goalscorers were Joe Hales with a brace and one for Josh France. Hales now has 5 goals in this competition, and surely no defences will want to face this in-form star.

Clipstone FC 1-0 Truro City (1 vote to nil)

Coley Park 2-0 King's Lynn Town (2 votes to nil)

Fisher 1-3 Durham City (2 votes to nil)
An exciting match at St. Paul's Sports Ground, as the away side made their way to the 4th Round. The match started well enough for the home side, taking the lead after just 4 minutes. However, it wasn't to be, as goals from Nathan Burrell, Harry Stansfield and Anthony Chapman clinched the victory for Durham.

Guildford City 0-1 KSK Beveren (20 votes to nil)

Hastings United 0-4 Calcot FC (4 votes to 1, with 1 draw)
The competition's top scorer struck once again, with another hat-trick to his name, as Chad Birmingham moved up to 8 goals in 3 matches! The final goal was scored by Max Law, his 1st of the season in The Community Cup. Calcot are another side who will take some serious stopping!

Huddersfield Town 0-4 Balls to Cancer FC (2 votes to nil)
Professional side Huddersfield were brushed aside by Amateur League side Balls to Cancer FC. The away side never looked back once they took the lead, with Alex Foreshaw proving the star, with 2 goals. The others were scored by Nath Gutteridge and Ash Chambers.

Huntingdon Town 4-1 Newmarket Town (1 vote to nil)

Leicester Nirvana 0-5 Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne (2 votes to nil)
It was another night of history, as Dom Barnden broke the record for most goals in a match, scoring a magnificent 4 out of the 5 goals scored by Eastbourne! The other goal was slotted in by Ross Newark as Tuesday Night made their mark with a crushing away win. Who can stop them in their quest to be the first-ever Community Cup winners?

Lye Town 4-0 FK Paradubice (2 votes to nil)
Another brilliant performance from the home side, as they make their way through into the 4th Round. There were 4 different goalscorers, with Mathew Gardner, Jordan Davies, Donovan Westwood and Joe Colley all on the scoresheet.

Maldon & Tiptree 0-3 Junction United (2 votes to nil)

Maltby Main 2-0 Potters Bar Town (1 vote to nil)
A simple enough win for Maltby Main. Jonathan Hill gave them the lead on 30 minutes. They did have to wait until the 75th minute to wrap things up, but Gavin Allott's goal was enough for victory.

Manchester United 0-4 March Town United (2 votes to nil)

Northwich Victoria 0-1 Guisborough Town (1 vote to nil)

Oakwood 1-3 Consett AFC Benfica (1 vote to nil)
The youth side of Consett AFC Benfica cruised through to the next round, with goals from Lonsdale and a double from Calloway. Can the youngsters win the cup?

Penn & Tylers Green Ladies 0-2 Tuffley Rovers (2 votes to nil)

Romulus 0-1 1874 Northwich (1 vote to nil)

Salisbury 0-3 Thames Valley Railway FC (5 votes to nil)
Thames Valley have looked great so far in this competition, and Salisbury were no barrier for them, as they made it through to Round 4. Brandon Lees was the hero, with a brace, and Henry Bigalowe grabbed the other. However, a very special mention has to be made to their captain Dan Murphy, as the skipper provided the assists for all 3 goals. Thames Valley have to be considered one of the big title contenders!

Stocksbridge Park Steels 1-3 North Leigh (1 vote to nil)

Waltham Abbey 1-3 Bracknell Town (1 vote to nil)
Another good match in this round, as the visitors close off this match and move through to the 4th Round. Waltham did get their names on the scoresheet, with Aron Gordon slamming it home, but Seb Bowerman and a double from Nathan Minhas was enough to clinch the win for Bracknell.

4th Round results:

Matches decided by fans votes (32):

1874 Northwich 2-0 Weymouth (2 votes to nil)
A routine victory for 1874, with their joint player-managers Wayne Goodison and Paul Bowyer on the scoresheet. Can Northwich go all the way?

AFC Fylde 0-1 Peacehaven & Telscombe (1 vote to nil)
A narrow last-minute win for Peacehaven, with Curt Ford the hero on 90 minutes. A brilliant victory for the visitors who go into the hat for the last 64!

Bulawayo Chiefs (Zimbabwe) 2-1 Denham United (1 vote to nil)
The only Zimbabwean club remaining are through to represent their nation, with a 1 goal victory taking them through to the 5th Round.

Bury 3-2 Weston-Super-Mare (1 vote to nil)
In a meeting between two Professional League clubs, Bury sneak through in an exciting, close-fought contest. Home advantage seemed to play it's part at Gigg Lane and Bury will be a team to be feared in the next round.

Carlisle City 0-1 West Clermont Soccer Club (USA) (1 vote to nil)
The American's of West Clermont advance after a winner from the young Makenna Whitford. Can the trophy be taken back to the USA?

Caversham United 3-0 Tower Hamlets (6 votes to nil)
Another magnificent performance from The Goats, albeit in strange circumstances! All three goals were scored from the penalty spot, which is weird enough, but even more strange was the fact that goalkeeper Tommie Tank scored them all! An extremely rare hat-trick from a goalkeeper sends Caversham through to Round 5!

Chelsea 0-1 Bristol Rovers (2 votes to 1)
This was very close in all senses, as the scoreline was 1-0 to Rovers, with the voting split for a long time, until a decisive vote for the visitors. In the end, it took a 90th-minute winner from Jonson Clarke-Harris to send them through to Round 5. Who awaits in the 5th Round?

Clipstone FC 4-3 Bishop Auckland (1 vote to nil)
1 vote was enough in this match, as Clipstone continued their fine run. Jack Warwick was the star, with 2 goals; the others scored by Tom Weaver and Jason Foster. They may take some stopping to win the cup!

Coley Park 2-1 Tuffley Rovers (3 votes to 0)
Coley Park are through to the next round, with another good victory. Once again, they were reliant on their top scorer Jamie Fairchild, who scored another 2 to add to his impressive tally.

Durham City 3-1 Hull City (2 votes to nil)
Durham are certainly one of those clubs that has come under the radar but, now that they have booked their place in the last 64, no-one will be taking them for granted in Round 5. Their goals were scored by Cameron Halliday, Michael Young and Callum Banki.

GFK Osogovo 5-1 Chalfont St. Peter (1 vote to nil)
With a strong contingent of sides outside the UK, there is every chance that the cup could be off to North Macedonia, as Osogovo wrapped up a comprehensive victory over Chalfont St. Peter. No-one will want to take them on in the next round!

Gillingham 2-1 West Ham (1 vote to nil)
In a tight contest between two of the bigger clubs left in the tournament, the home side squeezed through. Will they get another Professional League club in Round 5?

Godmanchester Rovers 2-3 Bolehall Swifts (1 vote to nil)
Much like Durham City, Bolehall Swifts have gone about their business with the minimum of fuss and somewhat quietly. However, at this advanced stage of the competition now, people are certainly aware of who The Swifts are now! Another 3 goals to add to their tally, scored by Alex Bennett, Lewis Fulleylove and Bobby Robinson.

Great Wakering Rovers 0-3 Bracknell Town (2 votes to 1)
A late final vote for Bracknell gave them the win, as both sides had votes registered for them. In the end, the scoreline itself was comfortable, with Bracknell running out 3-0 winners. Seb Bowerman got his 2nd of the tournament, with the others scored by Scott Rees and Caden Genovesi.

Guisborough Town 0-2 Spelthorne Sports (3 votes to nil)
Another composed performance from Spelthorne, with the electric Lewis Flatman on the scoresheet again, along with first goal in this competition for Joe Dyett.

Hamworthy United 2-1 Yeovil Town (1 vote to nil)
Professional League club Yeovil Town are out, crashing to a 2-1 defeat to Dorset club Hamworthy United. Dan Cann gave the home side the lead, but Yeovil swiftly levelled. With time running out, and extra time threatening, Eddie Hodge popped up with a 90th minute winner to send the home fans into raptures!

Ipswich Town 0-2 Orpington U9's (1 vote to nil)
A stunning, momentous upset for the young lads of Orpington, as they defeated Professional League side Ipswich Town at Portman Road. The title couldn't be won by an U9's side... could it?

Ipswich Wanderers 3-4 Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne (5 votes to nil)
After being given another long away trip, TNF started sluggishly and fell 2 goals down early on. However, just before half-time, David Hadgkiss, on his return to the side, had drilled in a screamer from 25 yards to give TNF a chance. In the second half, TNF ramped up the pressure and missed chance after chance until the 85th minute when Dom Barnden popped up with a goal to level the match, only to then give away a dodgy penalty to see TNF go behind again, with just 90 seconds left. Not a side to lie down, TNF roared back with the mercurial, and very much one-footed Dan Weston scoring with his swinger to put TNF back on level terms. With the game ticking towards extra time, a hopeful punt upfield fell to Barnden again, who couldn't miss as the goalie slipped, and TNF won a classic 4-3. Now hopefully a home match in the next round!

Junction United 3-1 Shepshed Dynamo (2 votes to nil)
Junction United have been a consistent side throughout the competition, and cruise through with a 3-1 win over Dynamo. Who's next for United?

Lancaster City 1-0 Shephall Wednesday (1 vote to nil)
A very narrow win, in all senses, as Lancaster pull off a hard-fought win over Wednesday. One goal was enough to see them through to the last 64.

Littlehampton Town 1-0 Bristol Manor Farm (1 vote to nil)
It was a similar story in this match, as 1 vote by 1-0 was enough for Littlehampton to advance to Round 5.

Longwell Green Sports 4-1 Taunton Town (1 vote to nil)
A thumping good win for Longwell, thrashing Taunton. Four different goalscorers were on the scoresheet today, in the form of Richard Fey, Christopher Dauncey, Adam Bishton and Sam Baker. They could be a dark horse for the cup!

Lye Town 0-1 Maltby Main (2 votes to nil)
It took until the 88th minute, but Maltby Main booked their place in the 5th Round thanks to Steve Hopewell. Who will be next to face them?

Notts County 0-3 Balls to Cancer FC (2 votes to nil)
Balls to Cancer FC are on a seriously good run and it will take a good side to stop their match towards the cup final. Notts County were expected to provide stiff opposition, but BTC blew them away!

Piccadilly FC 5-2 Seaham Red Star (1 vote to nil)
Another side who are capable of beating any side on their day, Piccadilly FC saw off Seaham Red star in style, slotting home 5 goals. No-one will fancy their chances against this outfit!

Staines Lammas 0-1 Shoreham Sabres (1 vote to nil)
After seeing so many late winners in this round, this match was the opposite, being decided with a single goal scored after just 4 minutes, via top scorer Ollie Jerams. Another side who've gone along quietly, but could be a good bet to go much further in the competition.

Stockport Georgians 2-3 Calcot FC (6 votes to nil)
One of the overwhelming favourites for the cup, Calcot FC once again advance to the next round. It's often said that if you have someone who can score a lot of goals, then you've always got a chance of success and, in the shape of Chad Birmingham, Calcot have just that man. The red-hot Birmingham has now scored a tournament-high 9 goals so far; can anyone stop him and Calcot from achieving glory in The Community Cup?

Thames Valley Railway FC 2-0 Rothwell Corinthians (7 votes to nil)
Of all the winning teams decided by your votes in this round, Thames Valley Railway received the second-highest number of winning votes. The scoreline was slightly closer at 2-0, but it cannot be denied that Thames Valley are big contenders for the cup. Another goal of Henry Bigalowe, but the star of the show was Dan Murphy; he grabbed the other goal, assisted Bigalowe and even provided the assist for his own goal too!

The Bravehearts Ladies 4-1 Harrogate Town (1 vote to nil)
Nigeria will have a team in the last 64, with the ladies crushing the men of Harrogate Town in style. Can they go all the way?

The People's FC First Team 2-3 Woodley United (1 vote to nil)
This one always felt like it would be close, and it was no surprise that it was on by just 1 goal. In the end, it was the visitors left celebrating, as they booked their 5th Round entry!

Washington FC Sunday Team 3-0 Farleigh Rovers FC Resevers (2 votes to nil)
The only reserve side left in the competition bowed out after a real gap in class opened up between themselves and Washington. The home side's goals were scored by Jack Pearson, and a wonderful brace from Robbie Williamson. Washington will be dark horses.

KSK Beveren 3-0 Saint Anthony's FC (17 votes to 1)
In the most one-sided match of the round, Beveren once again sailed through to the next round. There was a definite hero however, with the brilliant Nick Pieters scoring a magnificent hat-trick! Beveren have gone through with massive voting gaps, and therefore have to be very respected and possibly considered THE team to beat in the cup!

5th Round results:

Matches decided by fans votes (20):

Balls to Cancer FC 5-1 Woodley United (3 votes to nil)
The BTC FC roadshow continues ever onwards, as they crush Woodley United. Woodley had been very consistent up to this point, but Balls to Cancer had too much for them, in particular the brilliant Alex Foreshaw, who smashed home a hat-trick. The other scorers were Mitch Pinson and the enigmatic 'Skip'; no-one will want BTC FC in the last 32!

Beckenham Town 0-3 KSK Beveren (Belgium) (12 votes to 3)
In terms of voting, this was the first serious test for the Belgians, as Beckenham had lead 3 votes to nil, at one stage. But the surge of votes saw YB SK through to last 32, and continues to ear-mark them as one of, if not THE hot favourites for the tournament. Nick Pieters was their main man again, grabbing another brace, with the other goal scored by Robert Minea. Can they go all the way?

Bristol Rovers 1-2 Bracknell Town (3 votes to nil)
A good win for Bracknell, who have exploded into life in style, taking out a big name in Bristol Rovers. Seb Bowerman scored another goal for the visitors, with the clinching goal scored by Dan Carr.

Calcot FC 6-1 Littlehampton Town (5 votes to nil)
Another team, like KSK Beveren, who will be feared by everybody in the last-32 is Calcot FC, a team with a striker who simply cannot stop scoring! That man, Chad Birmingham, was at it again; slamming home another FOUR goals, to take his tally to a sensational 13 goals in 5 matches! The other two were scored by Max Law, another of Calcot's stars. Can anyone stand in the way of Calcot and Community Cup triumph?

Caversham United 3-1 West Clermont Soccer Club (USA) (5 votes to 2)
For the second round running, a much closer result than The Goats would have wanted but, ultimately, they make it through with few problems, ending the dream of the Americans at this late stage. Joe Hales has been the star for Caversham during this tournament, and he added another 2 goals to his tally. The other goalscorer was Brandon D'Souza, wrapping up another decent win for Cav. They will be another of the favourites to win this cup from here on out.

Chichester City 0-3 Spelthorne Sports (4 votes to nil)
Much like Bracknell Town, Spelthorne had been going along quietly, before exploding into action, and receiving a decent number of votes. This was arguably their best performance of the competition so far, cruising past a strong Chichester City side, 3-0, the goals coming from Sam Rees and a double from Jamie Ross. Could be dark horse contenders for the cup!

Durham City 3-1 Bury (1 vote to nil)
There was only man who mattered in this match, as Cameron Halliday smashed home a brilliant hat-trick, to guide Durham past the bigger, more famous name of Bury. It wasn't all plain-sailing for Durham however, as they did see their goalkeeper Dean Brooks sent off early on for a deliberate foul, and went 1-0 behind, however Halliday wasn't to be denied, and the dream is still alive for City!

FC United of Manchester 0-2 Rossington Main (1 vote to nil)

Gillingham 0-1 Consett Belles (1 vote to nil)

Hamworthy United 0-1 Coley Park (1 vote to nil)

Leamington 1-0 Portland United (1 vote to nil)

Orpington FC U9's 0-9 Junction United (1 vote to nil)

Peacehaven & Telscombe 3-0 Fakenham Town Under 9's (1 vote to nil)
Three goals, and three different goalscorers for P&T, as they showed their credentials to become the first-ever winners of The Community Cup. Cam Wiltshire, Josh Marshall and Reilly Grant were the scorers on the night and, like Spelthorne Sports, could be a decent bet to win the cup.

Salford City 0-3 GFK Osogovo (North Macedonia) (1 vote to nil)
Whilst clubs from nations such as the USA have all been defeated, North Macedonia's representatives, GFK Osogovo are flying high! A simple 3-0 win over Professional League club Salford City was achieved and, with it, a tag as one of the last-remaining non-UK clubs still going in their bid to win The Community Cup.

Shoreham Sabres 0-2 Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne (6 votes to nil)
Another away-day trip for TNF, but another victory, this one more routine, as their run to possible glory goes on!

St Blazey 2-4 Maltby Main (1 vote to nil)
Maltby Main will take some stopping, as they scored four away goals to advance to the 6th Round. Four different goalscorers too, with Jonathan Hill scoring their first on 9 minutes. Robert Chipps grabbed his goal on 44, just before half time, and a penalty from Aaron Moxam on 65 minutes would prove to be the crucial winning goal. However, there was still time to put some gloss on the scoreline, as Gavin Allott finished things off in style in the 81st minute. Maltby will be feared in the last-32.

Stowmarket Town 4-5 Clipstone FC (2 votes to nil)
One of TWO 5-4 wins in this round! Clipstone have been great to watch this season, and booked their place in the last-32 with a five-goal display away at Stowmarket. Jack Warwick was the latest hat-trick goalscorer, with the other goals scored by Josh Ing and Josh Pickering. It won't be easy, but Clipstone must regard themselves as having a decent chance of success from here.

Thames Valley Railway FC 1-0 Brackley Town (5 votes to nil)

The Bravehearts Ladies (Nigeria) 5-4 Bulawayo Chiefs (Zimbabwe) (1 vote to nil)
In an all-African battle, the ladies of Nigeria saw off the men of Zimbabwe, to join Belgium's KSK Beveren and North Macedonia's GFK Osogovo as the only foreign clubs remaining in The Community Cup. Could the cup be heading outside of the UK in it's first-ever season?

Washington FC Sunday Team 5-0 Bolehall Swifts (1 vote to nil)
Washington FC Sunday Team are yet another side who have been leaving their best form for the right time, as they brushed aside a decent Bolehall Swifts side, by five goals to nil! Just two men were responsible for all 5 goals, with a brace from Reece Smith and, yet another hat-trick hero, in the shape of Graham Stephenson. Washington will command respect from everyone for the remainder of The Community Cup.

6th Round results:

Matches decided by fans votes (15):

1874 Northwich 3-0 Cheltenham Saracens (1 vote to nil)
Another magnificent solo performance in The Community Cup as Paul Bowyer's hat trick saw 1874 cruise through to the last 16. Who will await them in the 7th Round?

Balls to Cancer FC 6-3 Clipstone FC (4 votes to nil)
What an incredible game in Darlaston! A 9-goal thriller saw Clipstone put up a great fight, but BTC FC march onwards and into the last 16. Top-scorer Alex Foreshaw was the hero once again, grabbing a hat trick, with the other goals scored by Chris 'Skip' Weston, Ash Chambers and Nath Gutteridge. They will be a team to be feared going into the 7th Round.

Bath City 1-2 Leamington (1 vote to nil)

Caversham United 3-0 Consett Belles (7 votes to nil)
A simple victory for one of the big favourites for the cup. The brilliant Joe Hales was at it again, with a brace for The Goats, and the win was capped off by Sam Foster. No-one will fancy their chances against Caversham, as they make progress, yet again.

Doncaster Rovers 0-2 KSK Beveren (17 votes to 4)
In terms of the scoreline, it was simple for this brilliant Belgian outfit. However, in terms of the voting, it started off badly with Doncaster securing the first few votes. But Beveren have a rabid fan base, and their voters were in full force again, getting their side through. It ended up being a double from Matthias Vermiere that won the day for Beveren who must be THE favourites for the cup now!

Durham City 3-0 Holmes Chapel Hurricanes (1 vote to nil)
An easy victory for Durham who continue to be dark horses in this competition. D'Andre Wainwright got 2 goals, with Goodnews Amadi adding the other one. Can Durham surprise a few and go all the way?

GFK Osogovo 1-2 Coley Park (2 votes to 1)
This was tight in all senses, as Coley Park edged out their Macedonian opponents by 1 goal in the scoreline and just by 1 vote. Sadly for Osogovo, they won't be bringing the trophy to North Macedonia, but they will be back next year and will now have a good reputation in the cup!

Junction United 0-3 Calcot FC (6 votes to nil)
Before this game, Junction United had been one of the unsung heroes of the tournament. However, Calcot are a serious powerhouse in The Community Cup and, in the shape of Chad Birmingham, boast the top scorer in the history of the cup. He added to that tally, with his 14th goal of a terrific campaign. Incredibly, even he was outshone in this match, as teammate Billy Titchener scored a brace to see Calcot safely through to the last 16. Will Calcot's campaign end in glory?

Nelson 1-3 Peacehaven & Telscombe (1 vote to nil)
Like Durham, Peacehaven & Telscombe have been a dark horse club who continue to surprise with their journey through the cup. This match was no exception, as goals from Curt Ford a double from Jake Brocklebank saw them into the last 16.

Piccadilly FC 1-2 Maltby Main (2 votes to nil)
Another side who have been under the radar are Maltby Main. Many people may have had Piccadilly down as the favourites in this match, but Maltby made a mockery of that prediction! Joe Austin scored their first on 30 minutes, with Brad Morton scoring the crucial, match-winning goal on 75 minutes. Who will be next up for them?

Rossington Main 0-2 Thames Valley Railway FC (5 votes to 2)
It was a close at times for Thames Valley, but another of the big contenders for the title made it through, with a 2-0 win. Paul Parker scored his first of the season with Brandon Lees grabbing yet another goal.

Spelthorne Sports 3-1 Longwell Green Sports (2 votes to nil)
Yet another club who went about their business quietly but efficiently are now finding themselves in the spotlight after getting through to the last 16 of the cup. One of the main reasons for their success is Lewis Flatman; he scored another 2 in this match, to take his total in this competition to 6. Only 4 other players have scored more than him! Sam Rees scored the other goal, as Spelthorne cruise through to Round 7. Will their dreams end in reality and win The Community Cup?

The Bravehearts Ladies 1-2 Blyth Town Ladies (1 vote each; Blyth Town win on a split decision, by goals scored)
One of the tightest games in the history of The Community Cup, as a split decision ends the run of the sole-remaining Nigerian club. Can they go further in 2021?

Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne 7-1 Moneyfields (7 votes to nil)
Finally a home draw for TNF and, boy, did they make home advantage count. Without the extra time for travel, TNF came out of the blocks and surged into a 3 goal lead within 20 minutes, with all three goals being scored by the effervescent Dom Barnden, who scored the perfect hat trick of head, left and right foot. TNF then started to play beautifully and constructed some flowing moves, which resulted in Mark Channel opening his TNF account, before Dan Weston notched his second of the cup run as TNF went in 5-0 up. The second half predictably wasn't as flowing or exciting with TNF seeing the game out and making numerous changes to get more players game time. This however didn't stop them scoring twice more through Dave Hadgkiss, whose return to the squad co-incided with this run, and co-founder Ross Newark scoring again. The only downside was a freak injury to Barnden and the concession of a goal in the 90th minute.

Washington FC Sunday Team 4-0 Bracknell Town (3 votes to 2)
Although the scoreline was heavily in Washington's favour, the voting told a different story, with Washington edging out Bracknell by a single vote. Surely Bracknell will be a top-rated team for the 2021 edition of the cup! For Washington however, the dream continues and they will be in the hat for the draw for Round 7!

7th Round results:

1874 Northwich 3-1 Balls to Cancer FC (3 votes to 1)
The first quarter-finalists in The Community Cup are 1874 Northwich, with a brilliant win over a very popular side in Balls to Cancer FC. Can 1874 go all the way now?

Caversham United 3-0 Thames Valley Railway FC (9 votes to 6)
A last-day flurry of votes for The Goats sees them safely through to the last 8. Caversham won the match itself comfortably, with goals from Tom Higginson from the penalty spot, and another brace from Joe Hales, their top scorer. They are one of the hot favourites for the cup but who will stand in their way in the Quarter-Finals?

Coley Park 3-0 Washington FC Sunday Team (5 votes to 1)
Despite registering the first vote in this match, Washington were well beaten in the end, with Coley Park powering into the Quarter-Finals. They've been imperious so far and will fancy their chances of winning the cup.

Durham City 9-12 Blyth Town Ladies(3 votes each; Blyth Town win on a split decision, by goals scored)
For the second round running, the Ladies of Blyth Town sneak through on the goals scored rule, after both they and Durham City received 3 votes each. It's been a tricky run for Blyth however, for any team who make it through to the last 8, they have to be taken seriously as major contenders for the cup.

Leamington 1-3 Spelthorne Sports (10 votes to 6)
This was another topsy-turvy match, with the votes swinging one way and then the other. However, the popularity of Spelthorne eventually saw them through. It certainly helps having one of the top scorers in the competition; the brilliant Lewis Flatman scoring another two in this contest, added to by this brother, Jake Flatman. Can the Sports achieve glory?

Sherborne Town 0-3 Calcot FC (7 votes to nil)
Calcot are a serious force in The Community Cup, and this match was no exception, as they pummelled Sherborne. Once again, their hero was the electric Chad Birmingham, with yet another hat-trick to his name. With him on top form, Calcot's name could well be on the trophy.

Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne FC 3-0 Peacehaven & Telscombe (7 votes to 3)
This was a tough match on paper but, in the end, it was a fairly comfortable win for Eastbourne. Much like Calcot, they have a bona fide star, with the brilliant Dom Barnden scoring a hat-trick of his own. Could it be Birmingham vs Barnden for the golden boot?

KSK Beveren 1-0 Maltby Main (26 votes to 11)
In the match of the round (certainly in terms of votes), the imperious Beveren made it through to the Quarter-Finals. At one point, Maltby had threatened an incredible comeback via their fans, however Beveren weren't to be denied and advanced to the last 8. With their voting power alone, they have to be the biggest favourites for the cup.

Quarter-Final results:

Matches decided by fans votes (4):

Caversham United 2-0 Blyth Town Ladies (6 votes to 5)
A spirited comeback in the voting saw The Goats finally book their place in the Semi-Finals! Blyth Town were 3 up in the early voting, but Caversham weren't to be denied and made it into the final four. The goals were scored by Tom Higginson from the penalty spot, and yet another from top-scorer Joe Hales.

Coley Park 0-6 Calcot FC (5 votes to nil)
A surprisingly comprehensive victory for the visitors, as Calcot cruise 6-0. It was also very easy in the voting stakes, as Coley Park were the only side not to register a single vote in this round. In terms of the goals, Chad Birmingham got yet another hat-trick but had to share the spotlight with team-mate Billy Titchener, who also scored three. No-one will want to face Calcot in the Semi-Finals.

KSK Beveren 3-0 Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne (23 votes to 5)
It's a recurring story-line with Beveren; they go behind by a big margin in the early voting, but then power past their opponents to make the next round. For TNF, their brave, brilliant run is over but there's no shame in being beaten by the side who've generated the most ever votes in the Community Cup. Nick Pieters was once again the hero for the Belgians, grabbing the match-ball with a brilliant hat-trick. Once again, KSK have proved themselves to be the big favourites to take the trophy.

Spelthorne Sports 2-0 1874 Northwich (12 votes to 4)
The surprise package of the season so far, Spelthorne Sports, have blitzed their way into the Semi-Finals, by registering 3 times more votes than their most illustrious opponents, 1874 Northwich. In the end, much like two of the other Quarter-Final matches, it was a recurring hero who helped his side through, with Lewis Flatman's brace being enough to ensure Spelthorne are in the hat for the last four.

Semi-Finals results:

Matches decided by fans votes (2):

Calcot FC 4-1 Spelthorne Sports (8 votes to 7)
It looked as if Spelthorne were on course to make the final, but an incredible late flurry of votes won this match for Calcot! Spelthorne will be gutted to miss out on the final, after what has been a mammoth run to the last four, but they can be extremely proud of their efforts in 2020, and must be considered big contenders in the 2021 Community Cup. As for the scoreline, it proved to be the most popular vote of 4-1 to Calcot, with two men getting braces; Scott Edmunds was one and (to the surprise of no-one!) Chad Birmingham grabbing his 21st and 22nd goals of a stunning tournament. Calcot are just one more win away from cup glory!

KSK Beveren 1-0 Caversham United (21 votes to 11)
The favourites for the tournament are also through to the final, as they snuck a win (in terms of the scoreline) over the brave Goats of Caversham United. As per usual, it looked like Beveren might run away with the voting, but Caversham are Semi-Finalists for a very good reason, and their fans voted in force in an attempt to get their heroes to the final. Sadly for them, it wasn't enough, as the sheer voting power of the Belgians saw them advance. In a 1-0 win, you would expect the winner to come from their top scorer Nick Pieters. However, the only goal came from a man who saved his first goal of the tournament for the Semi-Finals, as Johan Segers broke Caversham hearts.

So the final is set; KSK Beveren vs Calcot FC. Will it be the voting power of the Belgian outfit who win the day, or can a Chad Birmingham-inspired Calcot gain enough momentum with the fans to write their name on the cup? Either way, we could be set for a cracking final!

The Grand Final (Result):

(AMA) KSK Beveren 2-0 Calcot FC (AMA) (51 votes to 16)

KSK Beveren are crowned the 2020 Community Cup Champions! They led from the front in this final right from the start and, in truth, never really looked like being caught, despite the obvious threat posted by a brilliant Calcot FC side. On the final day of voting, there was a spirited flurry of votes from Calcot fans but it was too late to change the result, as Beveren received a record 51 votes. In terms of the scoreline, 2-0 was the most popular for the champions and, despite not scoring any goals in previous rounds, the undisputed hero of the final, was Melino Olivini, grabbing both for Belgians. Chad Birmingham, Calcot's talisman, for once couldn't add to his tally, but still easily ends the 2020 campaign as the Golden Boot winner, scoring a truly remarkable 22 goals in 10 matches!

Top Scorers (after Grand Final):

  1. Chad Birmingham (Calcot FC) - 22 goals
  2. Dom Barnden (Tuesday Night Football Eastbourne) - 12 goals
  3. Joe Hales (Caversham United) - 12 goals
  4. Lewis Flatman (Spelthorne Sports) - 10 goals
  5. Nick Pieters (KSK Beveren) - 9 goals
  6. Alex Foreshaw (Balls to Cancer FC) - 8 goals
